TAMATA
Greece, 2025
TAMATA draws on Greek Orthodox votive offerings and translates their familiar forms through embroidery on reflective aluminium foil. Poetic texts and motifs form three artist’s books and a series of small objects. As light shifts across their surfaces, the embroidered writing appears and recedes, allowing the works to be encountered through both reading and viewing.
The series was developed on the occasion of the Concrete Etheras workshop held by BBDB Studio in Athens.
