STONE HOME

In this work, embroidery unfolds as a meditative act — a tactile exploration of the interconnected notions of home and homeland. Drawing on the language of women’s handicrafts and folk traditions, the piece opens a dialogue with domestic labour and cultural memory. Home emerges as both a womb and a wound, a site of tenderness interwoven with violence. The stone house becomes a symbol of the homeland itself — steadfast yet fragile, enduring yet exposed. The book honours inheritance as a generative yet ambivalent space, where fragility and endurance, loss and continuity, coexist.
