This work was created on the occasion of the CONCRETE ETHERAS Workshop of BBDB Studio (Athens, June 2025).
“Taking inspiration from the concept of the Aether, the fifth element in ancient cosmology beyond Earth, Water, Air and Fire, which was considered a pure, celestial substance filling the universe, the workshop explored how words can take shape, move or disappear. Participants engaged with the theme of Ethéras (αἰθήρ) and investigated how meaning develops, dissolves, shifts, and recomposes. Together, the group explored the presence and absence of things — the space around words, the feeling of something missing on a page, and the way meaning travels and changes.”
CONCRETE ETHERAS will culminate in a limited-edition book printed and published by Dolce Publishing, which will be presented at the Athens Art Book Fair from 3 to 5 October 2025.
